Over the years, I’ve developed a lot of quality management materials. Since I’m “semi-retired” I’d like to share these with anyone interested in applying Six Sigma tools and Methods.
I’ve got a number of courses I’m working to get ready for you to download. Check back every now and then to see what’s been added (e.g. Black Belt, Design for Six Sigma, Quality Function Deployment, . . . ).
Just click on the course title to begin the download.
Each course includes:
- PowerPoint slides (ready to teach!)
- Exercise files (mostly Excel, but some Minitab)
- Templates (e.g., Project Charter, Quality Function Deployment, Process Management Chart)
- Instructor Guide (assumes you know the tools, but need help with the teaching part)
Six Sigma & Lean Introduction – An entertaining, one-day interactive introduction to the what, why, how and who of a company’s Six Sigma/Lean journey
Six Sigma Green Belt – A 3-4 day immersion in the Define-Measure-Analyze-Identify-Execute-Control process improvement method and associated tools. Participants should complete a project as part of the course to become certified Six Sigma Green Belts.
Six Sigma Black Belt – A 4-week course intended to develop your company’s Black Belts. Similar to Green Belt, the course is wrapped around the Define-Measure-Analyze-Identify-Execute Control improvement process and Black Belts are expected to complete both the course and a project to be certified. In addition to the basic tools covered in Green Belt, “advanced” statistical methods such as Hypothesis Testing, Correlation/Regression and Design of Experiments are included. Depending on your industry, you can include additional topics such as Reliability Management, Policy Deployment (and the associated Seven Planning Tools) and overviews of Design for Six Sigma and Lean.
Design for Six Sigma (coming soon)
Lean Essentials – a 1.5 day introduction to Lean Principles, Tools and Implementation. Intended for companies introducing Lean to their operations and supporting staffs. Three modules include Lean Enterprise & Principles, Implementing Lean, and Six Sigma Overview.
Quality Function Deployment – This course focuses on the role of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) in developing Product or Service Requirements. It can be offered as a ~ 1 day introduction to QFD or can be presented as a series of workshops to facilitate defining Requirements for an actual development project.
